Record high number of pink flamingos at Studen Kladenetz Dam

Record high for Bulgaria number of the pink flamingo bird species has been established at the Studen Kladenetz Dam in the Rhodope Mountain. A total of 53 birds have been spotted in the area, most of them young. Those have been registered by a team of the New Thracian Gold Foundation. This is yet another visit of pink flamingos in the East RhodopeMountain, but their number is that high for a first time ever. The Kirkini and Porto Lagos lakes in Greece are the closest destinations, inhabited by the exotic birds.
